Our Mission Statement:
The purpose of this organization is to inquire into how the educational process can help the student bridge the inner realities of the psyche and the political-social-economic world.

Unlike science which is content and concerned with what the senses can apprehend, Whole Person Education maintains that there is far more to education than the cultivation of memory, the acquisition of knowledge and the honing of practical skills, as important as they may be.

If the human being is to come upon the meaning and significance of Life, an inward inquiry-self-knowing-would also have to take place alongside scientific inquiry.

Both rest on the capacity to observe dispassionately.

So the art of listening, the art of seeing, in short, the art of using our senses without the interference of our experiences, knowledge, and other mental activities, are important in the process of education that we call Whole Person Education.

Its focus is on Life and Living and the Teacher is central in helping to bring about the environment in which it occurs.

Therefore Teacher Education in Whole Person Education is a central aim of this organization.

We intend to start with Teachers Academies which will develop into Teachers Colleges.

Here students and professors will deal with educating the whole person, such that each person knows his or her reason for being.

With these well educated Teachers, we intend to go further and help them create schools founded on the Principles of Whole Person Education.

As commerce and industry have shrunken our world, those in TIAPL EDUCATION ASSOCIATION maintain that each and every child who is educated has to be exposed to this global mind.

Terence's saying that "I am human, and nothing human is foreign to me," has to be actualized if human beings are to realize the potential of this global village.

To this end, the organization will be creating Open Classrooms in Nature to bring together pupils and students from different parts of the world to make friends among themselves and with Nature.

We expect some lifelong friendships to develop that will span the globe.

This is the "Student Safari Program."

This helps bridge the gap between civilized human beings and Nature.

The principals of this organization do not believe that one group can face this serious challenge alone.

So they intend to link with people, organizations, institutions, and agencies of the government who are addressing the development of the whole person, who are seeking to help people discover the meaning and significance of Life.

In brief, TIAPL EDUCATION ASSOCIATION exists to educate Teachers and work with them to build schools in which education of the total person is addressed.

This is the challenge of the Twenty-first Century, that the education process produce sane, healthy, wholesome people who are happy in their own being because they have discovered for themselves the meaning and significance of Life.
